Roberto Patiño: Food Security and Community Welfare Under One Roof
Roberto: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! In Alimenta la Solidaridad, for seven years, we have been working to contribute to the food security, in the midst of a Complex Humanitarian Emergency, of thousands of children from the most vulnerable communities in 12 states of Venezuela. This work has been possible thanks to the volunteer work of 789 volunteer mothers and community organization. We have also focused on female empowerment through the training of women in leadership, education, among other topics.

Jamie-Lee Josselyn: Encouraging the Art of Writing and Collaborative Learning
Jamie-Lee: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! The goal of the Summer Workshop for Young Writers is to provide creative high school students, especially those who have not had similar opportunities, with the chance to dedicate full days to the practice of writing. We believe strongly in the power of the creative community and in collaborative learning with storytelling at the center. We also feel strongly about giving high school students, especially first-generation and low income students, the opportunity to spend time on a college campus.

Christy Fernandez-Cull: Democratizing Access to Health and Wellness Insights

Christy Fernandez-Cull: Democratizing Access to Health and Wellness Insights
Christy: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Davinci is an underwearable health and wellness platform. Our goal is to maximize health and wellness performance for girls and women by combining measurements from our AI-powered hardware with advice from mentor-mentee relationships and automated and guided coaching. Our hardware combines a small sensor woven into clothing (underwear!) backed by the power of cloud computing / AI. Managing human-powered peak performance is unsolved and is a concern for women from puberty to menopause. Understanding temperature fluctuations in relation to other vitals, assessing reduction of injury during physical activity, and managing cycle and hormonal health for risk assessment across age are huge pain points.
